Acne is the most common disease affecting both males and females. The main sites affected are the face, neck, shoulders, back and chest.

AcnePredominantly seen in adolescents it still does occur in adulthood. Most cases of acne are ‘multifactorial’ (lots of causes) and the presentation can vary between each individual. Therefore, treatment is aimed at the degree of acne that you have.

Treatment for acne can include topical applications (creams), oral antibiotics and oral Isotretinoin (Roaccutane® and Oratane®). Injections and laser treatment can be offered for acne scarring. Dr Banky will determine which treatment is best for your acne.
