Dermatology Fees

Dr Banky is committed to providing the highest level of professional care and service. His fees are based on many factors including skill, care and judgment, quality of supplies and equipment and ongoing professional education.

At the time that you book your appointment, you will be given an estimate of your likely fees. However these may vary on the day if Dr Banky performs a procedure at your consultation such as a biopsy or an injection. These types of procedures will attract a higher cost than a standard consultation visit.

All fees are payable at the time of your consultation. We accept cash, cheque, credit (Visa & MasterCard only) and EFTPOS. We do not accept Diners Card or American Express. If someone is paying on your behalf, please ensure payment is made on the day (we accept credit card payments over the phone.

Patients who require Mohs surgery or skin cancer surgery, and have private health insurance, will not be required to make any gap payments to Dr Banky. Depending on your level of cover, you may need to pay an excess or co-payment for hospital fees.

Patients who are experiencing severe financial difficulties may discuss their individual circumstances with Dr Banky’s staff.

Fees for Cosmetic Procedures

You will be provided with an estimate of fees by Dr Banky at your initial consultation.
Please note that the majority of cosmetic procedures are not covered by Medicare or private health insurance and payment is the responsibility of the patient.

Fees for Pathology Services

If a specimen of skin is removed, or other samples collected, a separate account may be sent to you from the private pathology laboratory. This fee will be for the processing and reporting of your specimen or specimens. Most pathology tests attract a Medicare benefit.
