Excessive Sweating
Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis)
Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) affects 3% of the world’s population. Although any site of the body can be affected, the typical sites affected are the armpits, palms and soles.

Treatment of hyperhidrosis is challenging for both doctors and patients. There is no cure for hyperhidrosis, but Dr Banky can offer treatments to control the excessive sweating.

Treatments for Excessive Sweating - Sweat Reducing Injections

First line treatment is often with 20% aluminum chloride hexahydrate.

If this fails, sweat reducing injections can be offered by Dr Banky. Eligible patients receiving sweat reducing injections, can obtain a medicare rebate.

Other treatments for hyperhidrosis include iontophoresis and surgery.
